How You Will Make An Impact 

We are looking for a Technical Marketing Manager to deepen the connection between marketing, data, product, and engineering. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Lifecycle Marketing, you’ll own the performance and evolution of our marketing technology stack, ensure seamless CRM campaign execution, and act as a key partner to our customer engagement platform vendor. You will bring technical fluency, operational rigor, and a curiosity for innovation to help our team deliver personalized, data-driven customer experiences at scale.

In This Role You’ll Get To:

  • Manage and optimize the marketing technology stack with a focus on the customer engagement platform and integrations.

  • Drive workflow automation, segmentation improvements, and personalization at scale.

  • Collaborate with data, product, and engineering to align business requirements with technical execution.

  • Translate lifecycle marketing needs into clear technical specifications and solutions.

  • Support roadmap planning and prioritization for lifecycle marketing capabilities.

  • Oversee technical production and QA team for campaigns across email, SMS, push, and in-app messaging.

  • Explore and pilot agentic AI and machine learning applications to optimize engagement.

  • Advise leadership on martech innovation and industry trends to future-proof programs.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 5–7+ years of experience in marketing technology and lifecycle marketing.

  • Strong hands-on experience with Braze (or similar ESP/CEP), including advanced segmentation, Liquid/templating, and campaign orchestration.

  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with data, product, and engineering teams.

  • Experience managing martech platforms, integrations, and APIs.

  • Strong project management skills with tools like Jira, Asana, or Airtable.

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills; able to translate between technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Curiosity about agentic AI, martech innovation, and adaptive learning systems.
     

At ThredUp, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays between $139,000 and $165,000, and your actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Many ThredUp employees also have the opportunity to own shares of ThredUp stock, ThredUp employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, as well as a discount when purchasing ThredUp stock if voluntarily participating in ThredUp’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Subject to eligibility requirements, you’ll also receive other benefits: Comprehensive medical & dental coverage, vision, 401k, life and disability insurance.

This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
