How You Will Make An Impact
The Senior Manager of Supply Chain is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end supply chain functions—ensuring that the right materials, services, and infrastructure are in place to keep operations running smoothly and cost-effectively. This role blends strategic procurement, vendor negotiations, and forecasting with hands-on operational leadership. You will lead a high-performing team, manage major cost areas, optimize facility operations, and drive cost savings through data-informed decision-making and innovative sourcing strategies.

You’re not afraid to roll up your sleeves and dig into the details of supplier operations, contracts, and performance metrics in pursuit of stronger partnerships and better outcomes. You’re a skilled negotiator who hustles to deliver competitive, scalable agreements that ensure predictable budget adherence. You think big and move fast in high-growth environments—resourceful, agile, and ready to take calculated risks that drive long-term value.
In This Role You’ll Get To:
Leadership & Team Management
Lead and develop a team of 4 Inventory Control Leads and Supply Chain Coordinators, ensuring they have the tools, training, and support needed to succeed.
Build structured skill ladders with phases from introduction to full ownership, providing clear growth paths from Inventory Control Lead → Senior Inventory Control Lead.
Develop 90- and 180-day performance rubrics for new team members, creating transparency and accountability.
Foster a culture of feedback, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
High-Level Procurement & Forecasting
Own large-scale purchasing for critical goods and services across categories such as packaging, facility services, and operational supplies.
Forecast supply needs, targeting improved accuracy between forecasted and actual depletion rates.
Negotiate vendor agreements to maintain or reduce costs year over year.
Develop and implement vendor scorecards measuring delivery performance, breakage rate, and sustainability (0–5 rating).
Budget & Financial Oversight
Manage budgets for packaging, DC utilities, facilities, freight, and transportation.
Partner with Finance to track spending, analyze variances, and ensure alignment with forecasts.
Identify and deliver measurable cost savings without operational disruption.
Facilities Projects
Strategic procurement and contract management for major facility services (Annual contract renegotiations for HVAC, waste, utilities.) in accordance with building lease requirements.
What We’re Looking For:
8+ years of supply chain and/or procurement management experience, with at least 4 years in a people management role.
Proven success in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, vendor management, and budget oversight.
Strong analytical and forecasting skills with experience using data tools for decision-making.
Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and inspire high-performing teams.
Agile, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a high-growth, fast-paced, ever changing environment.
Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets, with a focus on generating practical, actionable analysis.
Driven by curiosity, eager to explore complex business processes.
Available for travel based on business needs to other ThredUP distribution centers.
At ThredUp, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays between $140,000 and $150,000, and your actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Many ThredUp employees also have the opportunity to own shares of ThredUp stock, ThredUp employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, as well as a discount when purchasing ThredUp stock if voluntarily participating in ThredUp’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Subject to eligibility requirements, you’ll also receive other benefits: Comprehensive medical & dental coverage, vision, 401k, life and disability insurance.
This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
