About our Internship Program

As a ThredUp summer intern, you will be given a firsthand glimpse at what it’s like to work at the world’s largest fashion resale platform. During the 10 week program, you will tackle projects alongside our world-class team, with the opportunity to make a real impact on thredUP’s business.
Our paid internships are ideal for ambitious students or recent grads who thrive in ambiguity, like a good challenge, and want a jump start on their career development. Oh, and who want to help inspire a new generation of consumers to think secondhand first!

About the Internship

If you know how to turn attention into community and believe secondhand deserves the spotlight, this role is for you. We are looking for a Social Commerce and Live Shopping Intern to help transform resale inventory into engaging, real-time shopping experiences. Sitting at the intersection of culture, content, and commerce, this role helps shape how circular fashion shows up across live and social platforms.

You will support and execute live shopping activations, test scalable content formats, and partner cross-functionally to align inventory, pricing, and storytelling. You will analyze performance in real time, identify attention spikes, support affiliate creator relationships, and conduct research on the competitive social commerce landscape to inform strategy and positioning.

We are looking for someone fluent in internet culture who understands how algorithms behave, how engagement compounds over time, and what different platforms do best. You are both creative and analytical, with strong storytelling instincts and a sharp eye on competitors. If you are excited about shaping the future of live shopping and making secondhand the first choice, we would love to meet you.

This is a 10 week internship from 6/8/2026 - 8/13/2026

This is an hourly role and pays $25 per hour based on the currently enrolled academic program or completed level of education.

What We Offer:

We also believe that each person should help drive the business. As an intern, you’ll be encouraged to speakUP, think big, ask questions and seek the truth, and help influence outcomes for our business and customers.
